Pondside Tangle
The last two days I saw damselflies. Today the dragonflies were out zooming over the pond and yard. Fish were jumping, birds making a racket, frogs jumping...very busy!

frog, mushroom, damselfly
Last night my sister, who had been listening to Deepak Chopra, reminded me of the thing I know well but forget so often. The moment that is now is all there is. This is where life happens. During this breath, right now. When life hands me challenges that require thinking back and thinking ahead (both important activities as long as they are not engaged in to the point where the NOW is never found at all) it is even harder to remember this wisdom. Which is why sisters are so great. So are frogs, delicate mushrooms and damselflies landing on the blue baptisia. And ruby throated hummingbirds that come and go in a whir of color, hovering impossibly for a human breath, a now that my eyes and heart photographed for you. I hope you can close your eyes and imagine it.

Pollen, Duckweed and Sodalite
Last week my polished sodalite stone broke in two sharp-edged pieces so I threw them in the pond today to get these shots.
